Waterloo Management of Integrated Manufacturing Systems (WATMIMS)
Formed in 1984 and housed in the University of Waterloo’s Department of Management Sciences, WATMIMS conducts applied research specializing in the areas of supply chain management, logistics, and manufacturing. Its research comprises the development and application of tools and techniques to aid in the management of integrated manufacturing and logistics/supply chain systems.
WATMIMS aims to create new knowledge about the design, implementation, operation, and control of these systems, including the important interfaces with purchasing, transportation, product and process design, inventory management, and human resources.
