What We Do

The Trillium Network for Advanced Manufacturing is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising public and investor awareness of Ontario's advanced manufacturing ecosystem. Trillium was originally conceived by Paul Boothe and Richard Dicerni as a vehicle to implement the recommendations of the Lawrence Centre's "Future of Canadian Manufacturing" research. Ontario Government funding for Trillium was announced in Budget 2014. Trillium was incorporated and commenced operations in 2015.

Trillium is governed by a board of directors chaired by Ben Whitney and is managed by Brendan Sweeney. Our offices are located at Western University in London, Ontario. Trillium staff work closely with all levels of government, industry associations, manufacturers, educational institutions, and other like-minded partners across the province.

Working with our partners, Trillium seeks to raise public and investor awareness of Ontario's advanced manufacturing ecosystem in a manner that supports growth and improves competitiveness. We use our network to connect partners and make them aware of initiatives that support manufacturing. We convene meetings to discuss the opportunities and challenges confronting Ontario manufacturers. Finally, we collaborate with our partners on initiatives of common interest.
