Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology (WIN)
Based at the University of Waterloo, the Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology (WIN) is a global leader in discovering and developing smart and functional materials, connected devices, next generation energy systems, and therapeutics and theranostics. WIN’s focus on nanotechnology is rooted in its role in creating new materials and improving ways of manufacturing products.
Given the range of applications for nanotechology research, WIN research faculty are drawn from eleven departments: Applied Mathematics, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering, Physics, the School of Environment, Enterprise and Development, the School of Pharmacy, and Systems Design Engineering.
