Who they are: Founded by the University of Waterloo, Velocity is an incubator that helps early-stage companies, regardless of industry, start and grow. Velocity’s incubator program has hosted more than 400 companies across industries including life sciences, artificial intelligence, and manufacturing.
What they offer: Velocity provides expertise, prototyping and testing space, laboratories, and hardware and assembly space, and a network of founders that can help mentor upcoming businesses. It provides workspaces, equipment training and other administrative services within its 37,000-square-foot facility.
