Organizational focus: The University of Toronto Electric Vehicle Research Centre (UTEV) focuses on next-generation electric vehicle (EV) technologies. 

Who they are: UTEV is a university-industry research partnership based in a battery and power electronics lab within the Edward S. Rogers Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. UTEV’s research focus includes enhanced energy management, energy storage, advanced power modules, next-generation powertrain, ubiquitous charging, and electric vehicle opportunities.

What they offer: UTEV offers three main collaboration models-sponsored research, service contracts, and internships. The sponsored research model is accompanied by several designated services that include discovery and industry focused research, access to UTEV facilities for concept and prototype development and intellectual property generation. The two shorter term models focus on short-term engineering projects, training and education, and creating new partnerships.
