Tribology of Materials Research Centre (TMRC)
Based at the University of Windsor, the Tribology of Materials Research Centre (TMRC) is a state-of-the-art tribological testing and characterization facility located in the Ed Lumley Centre for Engineering Innovation (CEI). The TMRC conducts fundamental and applied research on the friction, wear, and lubrication of advanced engineering materials, composites and surface coatings. The TMRC’s research programs are aimed at improving the performance of materials, manufacturing processes, and clean energy conversion systems through the application of modern surface engineering methods. Overall, the TMRC’s research programs generate the fundamental scientific and engineering knowledge needed to produce energy efficient automotive components and manufacturing technologies
