Toronto Institute of Advanced Manufacturing (TIAM)
Based at the University of Toronto, the Toronto Institute of Advanced Manufacturing (TIAM) is a multidisciplinary institute across the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering. Founded in 2014, TIAM leads innovation in advanced manufacturing by providing the expertise and infrastructure to turn great ideas into products. TIAM’s research scope encompasses the strategic research cluster of advanced materials and manufacturing, emphasizing nanotechnology, biotechnology and energy and sustainability. TIAM researchers also stem from areas of advanced manufacturing processes and systems as well as manufacturing planning and management.
In addition to providing an exceptional applied science and engineering education to undergraduate and graduate students, TIAM has and continues to establish partnerships with the manufacturing sector that will maximize the impact of transformative technologies being developed by its world-renowned researchers.
