Carleton University – Sensor Systems and Internet of Things Lab
Based at Carleton University, the Sensor Systems and Internet of Things (IoT) Lab is a central hub for innovative research in topics ranging from Smart Grid Systems to Energy Harvesting. IoT devices enable a two-way communication system in which utility companies can request actions to reduce or shift consumption, along with sending real-time data about energy consumption and pricing. The Sensor Systems and Internet of Things (IoT) Lab explores various IoT technologies and their applications in other areas including power management systems, emergency response, big data, public safety networks and cognitive radio.
