Centre for Advancing Engineering, Research, and Innovation in Aerospace (AERIAS)

Organizational focus: The Centre for Advancing Engineering, Research and Innovation in Aerospace (AERIAS) connects engineering students to leading aerospace companies.

Who they are: AERIAS is a research and development institute and partnership between Toronto Metropolitan University and the Canadian aerospace industry. AERIAS places students into real-world aerospace research and design opportunities at some of the most important aerospace companies in Canada, including Bombardier, Safran, and Collins Aerospace.

What they offer: AERIAS industry partners involve their students in important projects, giving them the chance to drive change in areas such as design and manufacturing. This program also complements Toronto Metropolitan University’s Aerospace Engineering Department’s cooperative internship program, as many students leverage their AERIAS professional experience to secure coveted positions.
