Who they are: Based at Queen’s University, QFIR is a full-service analytical laboratory, teaching facility, and research centre. It operates to support a range of scientific disciplines in order to solve complex problems with the support of key partners including Isomass Scientific and ThermoFisher Scientific.
What they offer: QFIR operates 9 different laboratories each with their own unique capabilities for partners to access. Collaborations with academic, industry, and government partners have led QFIR to conduct advanced research relating to ore deposits, environmental biogeochemistry, and the application of geochemistry to sedimentologic systems.
