Ontario Genomics
Ontario Genomics aims to lead the application of genomics (ie. the science of understanding, interpreting, and harnessing DNA code within living organisms to create real-world solutions). Ontario Genomics works closely with researchers, established companies, startups, and policymakers to connect them to funding and industry partners, help identify genomics solutions that boost productivity, and advance business growth within Ontario.
Companies can benefit from connections to academic experts, assistance with project design and planning, and access to Genome Canada funding and small-scale financing to de-risk technology development and adoption. Startups also have access to business advice and mentoring, connections with Ontario Genomics’ network, and funding.
Ontario Genomics has an active project portfolio worth more than $331million, with projects spanning health, technology development, biotechnology, and agriculture.
