Who they are: Based at the Elora Research Station, the Ontario Dairy Research Centre is a partnership between the Agricultural Research Institute of Ontario, the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA), the University of Guelph, and the Ontario dairy industry. It is a 175,000 square foot facility for research, collaboration and industry outreach.
What they offer: The centre’s research includes animal health and welfare, genetics and genomics, animal and human nutrition, management and technology, and product development. Its research is supported by facilities, equipment and cattle including advanced robotics, milking systems, and sample preparation and storage facilities.
