Northern Innovation Hub
Based at Northern College, the Northern Innovation Hub conducts innovative product, process, and service prototyping and testing that enhances the mining industry’s competitiveness and boosts regional economic development.
The Northern Innovation Hub works with a network of local, regional, provincial, and global partners to provide entrepreneurship education, market research, access to capital, and business advice and mentorship. It serves as a gateway for external partners seeking to work with Northern College on applied research and for internal employees seeking to utilize their research skills. A focus on applied research provides superior experiential learning opportunities for students, embraces collaborative partnerships with industry and community stakeholders, and delivers real-world solutions that stimulate social and economic growth for the region and beyond.
