Nexus for Quantum Technologies (NEXQT) Institute


Organizational focus: The Nexus for Quantum Technologies (NEXQT) Institute, formerly the Centre for Research in Photonics (CRPUO), develops innovative approaches to quantum science. 

Who they are: The NEXQT Institute is a nexus of three research centres made up of the Max Plack – uOttawa Centre for Extreme Quantum Photonics, the Joint Centre for Extreme Phonotics (a collaboration between the National Research Council and uOttawa), and the Nanofabrication core facility. 

What they offer: The institute offers research related to quantum sensing and imaging, quantum materials, quantum communication, nanofabrication and devices, and ethics and law. The centres also combine to offer research on developments in atomic, molecular, and optical physics, and nanofabrication laboratories for developing and testing technologies.
