Medical Technologies Innovation Centre (MTIC)
Organizational focus: The Medical Technologies Innovation Centre (MTIC) supports research initiatives that strengthen the innovation of medical technologies.
Who they are: MTIC is an applied research centre and part of IDEAWORKS – Mohawk College’s hub of applied research and innovation. The centre partners with industry and engineering, education and health experts to foster healthcare innovation.
What they offer: MTIC provides product improvement assistance, testing and validation, and workshops and training. It uses its Centre for Healthcare Simulation, the POC Ultrasound Applications Lab, and the Medical Radiation Lab to help medical technology companies reduce technology development costs and improve products and processes.
