Motion Research Group
Based at the University of Waterloo Department of Systems Design Engineering, the Motion Research Group develops new models and complex systems ranging from hybrid electric vehicles to sports engineering to biomechatronic systems. In the Motion Research Group, talented scientists build computer models and simulations of the real world to improve the design and control of mechanical, mechatronic and biomechatronic multibody systems through dynamic simulation, model-based control, and design optimization. These models are used to develop new products like automobiles, assistive devices and wearable technologies.
