Organizational focus: The KITE Research Institute (KITE) specializes in complex rehabilitation science dedicated to improving the lives of people living with the effects of disability, illness and aging.
Who they are: KITE is a principal health research enterprise at the University Health Network (UHN). It is the home for several research-based ecosystem partners including the Fabric-Based Research Platform (FIBRE) and the Center for Advancing Neurotechnological Innovation to Application (CRANIA).
What they offer: KITE is home to 14 laboratories that simulate various conditions including care environments and people’s daily lives, whether driving or at home. Its labs collaborate with startup and established medical technology companies to develop new treatments, devices, and products.
