Ontario Tech University – Internet of Things Research Lab


Based at Ontario Tech University, the Internet of Things (IoT) Research Lab’s research realizes the full potential of Internet of Things to enable smart interactions and change the way people interact with their surroundings to live smarter, safer and more productive lives. IoT research spans a wide range of topics including infrastructure, intelligent transportation, connected mobility/vehicles and real-time data sensor data analytics.

The IoT Research Lab is focused on creating the required infrastructure support and develop necessary mechanisms to enable one demand sensing for both the general public and controlled IoT deployments. It is equipped with the state-of-the-art tools to test and experiment with IoT applications and systems at both the hardware and software levels.
