Based at Western University, the Institute for Chemical and Fuels from Alternative Resources (ICFAR) is a pilot plant research space which functions as a bridge between academic bench-top with industrial-scale research. Award winning faculty are based at ICFAR, specializing in biomass and waste conversion, fluid-coking technologies and more. ICFAR faculty make working with industries and governments a priority, which means graduate and undergraduate students receive a highly relevant learning experience at ICFAR.
