Based at York University, Innovation York facilitates and maximizes the commercial, economic, and social impacts of research and innovation while creating a culture of engaged scholarship and experiential learning.

Innovation York functions as the first point of contact for industry looking to develop a relationship with York University. To this end, Innovation York supports academic-industry research collaborations, facilitates student internship placements, and provides incubation and prototype development spaces for start-up companies. It also operates YSpace, an innovation hub based in Downtown Markham. Through Innovation York, companies can benefit from access to researchers, labs, and equipment; reduced research costs; access to fresh ideas and best practices.
