Fluid Dynamics Research Institute (FDRI)
The Fluid Dynamics Research Institute (FDRI) conducts basic and applied research, and provides a broad training for graduate students, in all aspects of fluid dynamics and heat transfer. The FDRI’s members are drawn from Mechanical, Automotive and Materials Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, and Applied Mathematics.
The FDRI’s research ranges from theoretical studies on stability and exact solutions to enhancement of flow measurement techniques to implementation of commercial computational fluid dynamics (CFD) codes for industrial problems. Application areas for this research include environmental engineering, automotive, defence, petroleum industries, biomechanics and aeronautics.
