Organizational focus: Formerly known as the Centre for Advanced Manufacturing and Design Technologies, the Centre for Intelligent Manufacturing connects with manufacturing industry partners to conduct applied research and develop a sustainable workforce.

Who they are: Based at Sheridan College in Brampton, the Centre for Intelligent Manufacturing is a 40,000-square-foot applied research and development centre home to advanced manufacturing expertise and equipment. In the technology hub, engineering students are paired with local businesses in need of 3D printing work, including rapid prototyping of new products. 

What they offer: The centre matches companies with researchers and advanced equipment to help enterprises become more efficient and competitive. The research areas and equipment are related to additive manufacturing and 3D printing, simulation and modelling, digital fabrication, automation, design, and electronics.
