Centre for Bioengineering and Biotechnology (CBB)
Based at the University of Waterloo, the Centre for Bioengineering and Biotechnology (CBB) builds healthy, active partnerships between researchers and corporations through collaborative projects and networking events. Established in 2012, CBB’s top technologies are biomarkers, biomaterials, sensors & diagnostics, computational & disease modelling, therapeutics, medical devices, machine learning/AI, and imaging. There are multi-disciplinary research and lab facilities, internationally collaborative teams, and six UWaterloo faculties involved in CBB. It sustains industry-relevant research through team building, project management, knowledge translation and funding sustainability.
