Centre for Advanced Nuclear Systems (CANS)
Based at McMaster University, the Centre for Advanced Nuclear Systems (CANS) is a regional nuclear research centre used for understanding the behaviour of nuclear materials, thermal-hydraulics systems, and health physics dose-response investigation.
CANS is comprised of the following distinct facilities: Nuclear Materials Post-Irradiation Examination Facility, Nuclear Materials Characterization Facility, Nuclear Thermal Testing Facility, Positron Annihilation Spectroscopy Laboratory, and Health Physics Dose-Response Facility (based at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology/ Ontario Tech University).
