Canadian Urban Transit Research & Innovation Consortium (CUTRIC)

Organizational focus: The Canadian Urban Transit Research & Innovation Consortium (CUTRIC) supports the commercialization of technologies in Canada’s low-carbon smart mobility ecosystem.

Who they are: Based in Toronto, CUTRIC is a non-profit organization that designs, launches and commercializes technology that advances zero-carbon mobility and transportation solutions across Canada. It partners with the government to roll out key national transport initiatives while also working with industry to conduct smaller research projects.

What they offer: CUTRIC’s work generates solutions across three main service areas, including project development and management, funding research and development projects, and applied industrial research. They use these services to focus on four pillars of innovation: zero-and-low-emissions propulsion technologies, smart and automated vehicles, big data for mobility analytics or service applications, and cybersecurity in advanced mobility applications.
