The Mowat Centre is an independent research think tank at the University of Toronto with a focus on public policy. Its mission is to inform federal decision makers in creating policies that will better the social and economic well being of Canadians. In February 2014, the Mowat Center released the paper “Ontario Made: Rethinking Manufacturing in the 21st Century”, an in-depth study on the current state of the manufacturing sector in Canada and its relevance in light of the economy’s shifting fundamentals.
